The Bunyip Song, from the Australian children’s program(me?) Dot and the Kangaroo:

The idea of it is familiar, I know the name “Dot and the Kangaroo,” but the appearance of the bunyip is slightly different from what I remember and the song, though catchy in a 1974 sort of way, is not familiar at all.

I was terribly afraid of the Bunyip.
No, I never lived in Australia, but I used to believe in this mythical creature and would imagine it sometimes when I closed my eyes. I am not sure where I learned of this creature, but it is a popular myth / children’s story in Australia.
