Interestingly, 7 seems to just respond faster. Waking up the computer takes no time at all, for instance. Could this be the Windows that “just works?”

Well, going on 24 hours of Windows 7 (including backup and install time.) I have to admit, I like the appearance of it better than Vista, though it is very similar. The redesigned taskbar is effective and sharp. It starts up faster than Vista did, by a few seconds. Ultimately, I suppose it is faster than Vista, though Vista really ran well on this beast. No trouble so far with applications, other than Battlefield 2142 freaking out at first because of PunkBuster. A reinstall fixed that issue. Everything else has run without hesitation.
