I am listening to crazyskills radio and I get to a song which stops me in my tracks.  It happens pretty frequently.  Today it is Life Is So Sad by Candy Boyz.  Just really incredible stuff.  I am frozen.  I just listen and don’t care to do anything else until the song has finished.  It takes remarkable music to pull that off.

Christmas this year has really been nice.  Last year, it was ruined working in retail sales.  This year, I am in the service industry.  Sure we got busy with people getting their oil changed before they went out of town, but it wasn’t this maddening rush of people spending their bonus checks on video games for their kids (and in many cases themselves as well.)  No.  This year, I was not inundated with Christmas music in the mall, or any of that nonsense.  I didn’t step one foot into a mall this Christmas season.  I did my shopping online this year.  I know.  That’s so last year.  But there’s more to look forward to.  There still is the time to be spent with my side of the family.  It will be around new years’.

Peace.  Goodwill.  Happy frostfell.

And it’s not toys.  And it’s not going to church either.

It was a time when the family was all together.  We’d laugh.  There was a party every year.  And the parties went late - long after my generation went to bed.  Actually, that was part of the downfall.  Once I got to the age of staying up later than them.  We’d end up moving the furniture around or recording some late-night entertainment.  It was always exciting.  The parties.  Christmas morning.  Wow.  Waiting for everyone to get up and spending the day relaxing.  No one was allowed to go to town on Christmas day.  But people would visit!  It was a clean, free break from reality - no.  let me rephrase that - from daily life.  I wonder if all of the people there know how much they mean to me.  Some reunions will never happen again.

But new ones will.

Haven’t seen part 8 yet, but perhaps I’ll comment this post when I see it. It’s coming next. Netflix is pretty cool. So that’s it. That’s the sequence of Hellraiser films, in order of quality.

I passed an online A+ certification test last night.  And I have found a place where I can take the test for $156.  I intend for this to be the first of many.

I am not really sure what has changed or why it is working again now. The MySQL database was inaccessible for a period of days, but is up and running now.  Perhaps if I more accurately logged the changes I made, I’d be able to tell what did the trick.  This particular configuration involves the WAMP server.  I had never installed MySQL in this manner before.  Everything seems to run smoothly (when it’s running.)  For the outage, I did not have a MySQL indicator up on the server’s taskbar.  It is now back and it’s now working.  One thing I did do was free up some space on the server’s C: drive.  I wonder if insufficient free space would prevent MySQL from operating correctly.

Any ideas are welcome.
