There really isn’t much of a market for Absinthe. At least it isn’t selling like I expected it to. I have sold 4 within the last day, all to the same person. I expected it to be a real profit generator. The demand isn’t there, but maybe it could be. Maybe it just needs a good marketing campaign. I think Codo is going to bring absinthe into the hands of the people. Absinthe. No lvl 50 wis caster would be caught dead drinking anything else.
It begins.

It isn’t even only when time doesn’t seem to pass. I think that is another symptom to the same problem. So. What are these symptoms of? The inability to be comfortable with the presence of now. Stress. I have it to some degree myself. Sometimes it feels like Monday morning all week. Even that — Monday morning… there is nothing inherently wrong with Monday morning. It’s just that whole wishing it were another time thing. I have successfully talked myself in a circle. It’s wishing that you could be with your spouse, or friends, or family while you’re stuck at work. But I like work fine when I’m there. And even sometimes at home you wish it was some other time. Not much, but it does happen. So where is this discontentment with the present originating? Right? Because if we can identify the source we are a step closer to eliminating it.
So what is my source of discontentment? Actually, I feel pretty reasonable about these things most of the time.
(thanks for coming along with me on this; stress has these byproducts sometimes.)
Sometimes I get stuck in one place for a long time.

It’s a new game now.

You know the people who just seem to always have some sort of ailment? I almost said that I used to be one of those people, but I have my share of medical issues. I take medication regularly. But that’s not what I’m talking about. What I am talking about is the headache, backache, allergies or something-else-asinine people. It’s people who don’t know how to deal with time not passing as quickly as they would like.
And never underestimate the human mind. It is capable of creating distractions for you when you are in a place of anxiety. It’s the defense mechanism.
Maybe everyone has their ailments and some people focus on them and talk about them while others don’t.
What? The vitamin store?

Yeah. We’re getting through the cars. Sorry if we forget to greet everyone out back. Hmm. Slow down. You have to listen to me.
I’ve had vivid dreams of late.
Helping out at the shop tomorrow, my day off, my 2nd consecutive day off when I am working. So be it. The money’s not good, but time and a half makes a difference. Anything I put in tomorrow, I’m already on overtime. Get it while the gettin’s good. They’re bringing in a new team at the shop. I am the lone survivor. Soon, I figure, I will have people who come back to see me. Customers really look for that. Everybody wants a friend in the automobile business. It’s true. I am no exception, and here I am. The script is pretty solid. I just hope I get along with them as well as everybody else. Dave’s going to be disappointed. When he gets out of basic and I’m the only one still around.
It really gets to me. We had a great group of guys at this shop. Why break that up? I just have to figure that Tim knows what he’s doing, the district guy. I mean right? Hey when it all went down, he didn’t fire me. Maybe it was a long process. Maybe there were real problems I just wasn’t aware of. It’s possible.
Today was employee appreciation day. It was Steve’s idea and Jim went along with it and bought us all slushies.

“Years before most knew about green energy, Iceland was tapping into its geysers and volcanoes. With gas at $8 a gallon, renewables now provide almost all heating and electricity. And advocates can see a country free of fossil fuel use by 2050.” Full story @ cnn.com
Completely remove fossil fuel use by 2050? That sounds great, but there are issues. I hope they (us too!) are able to accomplish that. But imagine the benefits! Imagine the way it will change the way we work with other countries without the demand for oil. Pretty cool stuff.

These are some brilliant projects. It is really cool to learn who the brains were behind them and even cooler to get to see them again. I was first turned on to EBN in - well hell - 90 or so? 93 maybe? I bought the video from a music store in the mall on a whim and found some really clever stuff. Now you can check it out too. Warning: Not suitable for all audiences.

Tomorrow is an open to close for me again. And tomorrow it is just the assistant manager and me. It’s going to be a challenge.
