to *name withheld* from”tech support”. He avoided a potential 2 day outage of the crazyskills services. I will be contacting his supervisor with praise of some of his actions. For you, dear readers, let me start from the beginning…

When I got home from the shop today, my internet connection was not. I figured all I had to do was get a call in there and they would fix the problem with my connection. The first guy I spoke to insisted that I was a premium home customer, even though a few weeks back we made the switch to business class, for 2 reasons: Higher throughput (up from my perspective) and the almighty static ip. The long and the short of it is this: *name withhelf* after calling the on call guys and striking out there, went into the noc and found a replacement modem and gave me directions to the call center. I then met him and exchanged the old modem for the new, and thus far all is well. Better than well. He left the throughput unrestricted so we in crazyskillsland are getting a solid 15 down and 2 up. It’s great how things work out sometimes.

I wonder if Wordpress (the new bloginitiative software) is MySQL.  It sure feels like it.

I will have a day off after tomorrow.  Somehow it just makes the day that much easier to know that I have a day off coming.  Don’t get me wrong.  Tomorrow will be a challenge, but at least I have something to look forward to.  It’s within reach.  And not only do I have the day off, but I will have the opportunity to see much of my family, including meeting the very newest member, Pete!

When I visit a blog, I expect to see links! and perhaps a political perspective. This blog has none of that!

You could at least waste my time with random crap from ebaumsworld.
